We held our annual company day at Belle Vue Stadium on Monday. With our team split across four locations, the day is a great opportunity for everyone to meet up. It also gives Gordon and I a chance to give the guys an update on how the business is going. I am glad to say things are looking very positive on all fronts for Trust IV; however the same can’t be said for the weather on Monday.
Speedway? Not one of the genres of motorcycling I really know about, I thought to myself. As a biker, sliding is not generally something I aim to do with the back wheel; I'd go as far as saying I very much try to avoid it! As for the surface being ridden, I recently had the chance to hit some dirt myself on a trail ride, an elating/terrifying experience and not one I wish to do sideways at 70mph. It's clear that both rider and machine are highly tuned performance machines.
Since moving to Manchester I’ve been trying to have a healthier lifestyle. Unfortunately, my efforts have been hindered by all the good food, drink and entertainment available on my doorstep.

In a thrilling climax to the season, Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions last Sunday, but things would have been very different if their website was a barometer of their performance on the pitch.
Last night Manchester was buzzing with the news that two of city’s restaurants were on the BBC2 programme “Restaurant Wars”. The programme showed the competition between these two world class restaurants as Simon Rogan’s “The French” restaurant based in the Midland Hotel near our Manchester Office “squared up” with Aiden Byrne’s “Manchester House” in Spinningfields.
Those of you with long memories may remember our article unveiling the Trust IV webcam this time last year.
Since then our windows have got dirtier and the picture quality has degraded. The good news is that spring is in the air and our building's having a spring clean. Our webcam caught the cleaner's in the act. We hope you like the new, improved view from the webcam.
Last month Richard compared the website performance of Manchester City and Manchester United. In a similar fashion to their early season win over their rivals, City romped to victory with their homepage rendering nearly three times faster than United’s. David Moyes thankfully wasn’t at fault, and Richard suggested that third party content was a major reason for United’s shortfall.
